Software Engineer Interview Experience - Palo Alto, California

Process

The overall process was awful.

I had a phone interview followed by an on-site interview. The on-site interview was too generic.

Facebook then asked for references and an academic transcript, which took two weeks.

Afterward, Facebook asked me to solve a coding puzzle. A month later, they said no.

The entire process was unorganized and lengthy. Even if I had received a job offer, I don't believe it would have been pleasant.

In contrast, Google's interview process was much smoother, and they replied within a week of my on-site interview.

Facebook should learn a thing or two from Google.
