Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

The interview process was quite disappointing.

It was very obvious people just read a script and copy-and-pasted coding questions. Out of five interviews, only one person asked me a single personal question that wasn't confirming they were talking to the right person.

I was told by the recruiter they were interested in my work in machine learning, but no one I talked with was even remotely working in this space. It was honestly a waste of over five hours of time.

Questions

  1. How would you design Facebook?

  2. In an array, for each element, calculate the index 'a' such that arr[a] > arr[b].

  3. Binary search tree.
