Software Engineer Interview Experience - Seattle, Washington
Process
Two onsite interviews replaced phone interviews since I am local.
I was contacted by a recruiter to interview.
I was not sure I was interested, but I figured it was worth the experience.
The office had a pretty immature, unprofessional vibe. Perhaps it is more suited for young people just coming out of college.

- 1.0Not worth the stressSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeSeattle, Washington, United StatesSeptember 4, 2025Pros: Free food and good pay.Cons: Everything seems driven by corporate politics and performance reviews. For some reason, software developers are expected to behave like PMs while also churning out code. It doesn't really matter if the code is good or not; you just have to pump out as much as you can so you have more lines of code written than the rest of your team.
