Pros: Move fast, good pay, fast growth.

Cons: Too many reorgs, moving too fast.

Pros: Excellent compensation and benefits. Takes really good care of its people, from excellent free food to subsidized laundry. Lots of unique engineering scale challenges. Engineers have a lot of autonomy and decision power. Variety of different areas and expanding options in every office. Fairly easy to switch teams and even offices or geographical locations. Great dev infra. Most menial jobs are automated. Fast-paced and growing – lots of opportunities for career growth. Still kept some good things about startup culture, like focusing on what matters.

Cons: It's becoming more corporate with growth - harder to find opportunities that really move the needle, getting more political, more processes, etc. With size, discrepancy in culture between orgs is growing. If you land on a bad position, it may be harder to switch. After a negative media cycle on social media, it isn't attracting the same passionate people as before. Your friends and even random people will want to tell you how they feel about social media. Some will even blame you for Trump. The culture of "move fast" and "focus on impact" is taken to the extreme in some orgs, which causes lots of incidents, unnecessary stress, and a terrible codebase.

Pros: A lot of work to be done, meaning you have flexibility on what to work and there are ample opportunities to do something awesome. Perks are amazing, but they are made so you don't stress with the little details of life. I work fewer hours on average than my previous top-company job but achieve a lot more in that time. No micromanagement overall (obviously there are black sheep everywhere). You do need to know how to prioritize and work by yourself without being pushed, though. Mission and vision that matter to the world. "Don't be evil," eh? Right. Here, we're truly connecting the world. Very few teams focus on revenue, which is awesome. Excellent compensation. Do I need to say more? Travel to HQ if you're a remote team. It's not so often, so I enjoy it (a personal thing, though).

Cons: The other "G" giant has a few more extra perks that are nicer, but you can live without them. Growing very fast. Hoping quality does not deteriorate, but things can get messy.
