I started to receive mail from a Meta recruiter. I ignored it for several months.
After a while, I decided to take the bait and set up an interview time.
The recruiter called me. The first question asked was whether I was ready to move to New York or Seattle, and I said no. He mentioned that the position was for onsite in New York or Seattle and discontinued the call.
I think they could have confirmed this in the email. There was no need for an elaborate interview call setup.
