Process

A software engineer called me via Skype for the first technical interview. He first asked me about my Ph.D. research experience. I described my research topics to him in detail. Then, he asked one detailed question that he was not quite familiar with. This part went well, and then we moved on to coding questions. He asked me two coding questions.

Questions

  1. Merge two sorted arrays together.

  2. Given an m * n grid, and one is allowed to move up or right, find the number of paths between two grids.
