Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

This was for a new grad position. I gave my resume at a career fair and heard back a few days later for an on-campus interview.

The interview was fairly easy, though I didn't think I did well. I heard back a few days later saying they wanted to schedule an onsite interview.

The onsite consisted of two algorithmic interviews and one behavioral interview, plus a bunch of events selling us on Facebook.

  • The algorithmic interviews were very standard LeetCode. The interviewers were friendly.
  • The behavioral interview involved asking a ton of standard behavioral questions off a list. The interviewer very clearly did not want to be doing this interview, and it was sort of uncomfortable.

I received an expected rejection a couple of weeks later.

Questions

LeetCode Easy-Medium for the first interview, and Medium-Hards for the onsites.

Standard STAR questions for the behavioral.
