Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience - Orlando, Florida
Process
I was offered the interview at a conference.
Both my first and second rounds happened at the conference.
Though the first round was a breeze, the second round was very hard. For the second round, since they ran out of interview booths, they interviewed me at a crowded canteen after making me wait a lot. I almost missed my second interview, which was right after Facebook, because they took too long to start.
Questions
First Round: Simple String Manipulation Question.
Second Round: Signed Non-Disclosure Form.

- 5.0Exceptional Experience At MetaSoftware Engineer (Internship) • Current EmployeeSeattle, Washington, United StatesJanuary 27, 2022Pros: Everything is fine at Meta.Cons: I love working at Meta; I do not provide any cons.
- 3.0I learned I didn't want to be a software engineerSoftware Engineering Intern • Former EmployeeMenlo Park, California, United StatesApril 25, 2017Pros: Great perks, very flexible work environment.Cons: 8-10 hours of programming a day for three months was just not for me. Might be for you, though. It's a GREAT place to be if it's for you.
- 3.0Aggressive PSC culture, perks are being cut left and rightSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeSeattle, Washington, United StatesApril 11, 2023Pros: High salary + RSU Sometimes interesting projects Bottom-up cultureCons: Every 1:1 with my manager is talking about PSC (the performance cycle) and how to optimize it. Very little time is actually spent talking about how to improve the product we work on. Inconsistent and poor leadership—changes to how things are run constantly, based on seemingly nothing. As of November, we seem to lose at least 1-2 perks a week. Little to no mentorship. Bottom-up culture forces ICs to come up with projects.
