I think the ambiance is actually pretty cool and nice! Everyone is open to help you, and there's always time to socialize.
I think I had bad luck with my manager. We didn't really connect, and she wasn't very open to helping me. It was a really bad experience, but I think it was just my bad luck.
Focus on finishing your tasks, but also try to do more! Try to propose a new feature or something that you see can be improved; that's going to show your leadership and initiative.
