I had an initial phone screen with a recruiter. This was followed by a call from HR, and then a semi-technical phone interview.
I proceeded to the onsite interviews, which lasted four hours. The interviews were conducted by one technical CSA, but primarily by sales and CSA management. The questions focused on my experience and how I would approach various situations. The technical CSA inquired about my approach to designing systems in the cloud.
Everyone I spoke with was pleasant and cordial.
Upon my departure, HR indicated they would respond within a day or so. However, an email stated the response time could be up to ten business days.
It has now been over three weeks, and I have not received any communication, which I find very unprofessional. At a minimum, they should inform all candidates of their decision.
Given this experience, I would reconsider applying to Microsoft in the future, as this is not how potential employees should be treated.
