Process

I applied for a Hardware Engineer Intern position for college students directly on the Microsoft Careers website. For the application, I just submitted my resume.

Two months later, I received a phone interview from an engineer, which consisted mainly of behavioral and project-based questions.

After three weeks, I flew to Redmond for an on-site interview. Microsoft organized a mixer the night before, and I spoke with many engineers during dinner (some of whom were interviewers for the next day).

On the day of the interview, I had four hours of back-to-back interviews covering everything you would and would not expect.
