Microsoft offers excellent interviewing perks. I felt genuinely wined and dined throughout the process.
For onsite interviews, they provided ample financial resources to explore the area at no personal cost, which was a pleasant experience.
Unfortunately, the actual onsite interview itself did not go as well. The interviewers asked questions that they themselves seemed unable to solve. While I was interviewing for a test position and could overlook minor syntax errors, there were two occasions where I had to defend my code as correct, even though they stated it was not. This could have been an interview tactic to assess my response to incorrect feedback from a superior, but it unfortunately made them appear uninformed.
I did not receive the job, primarily due to a lack of personality fit with the company. The people were nice, but we simply didn't connect.
