It started off well with basic questions, without even an introduction. It then deep-dived into database systems, expecting a candidate who knows everything with 10+ years of experience, despite the job role stating 4+ YOE. The interviewer felt 4+ YOE is a junior role.
The role expectations were to join the team immediately and do POCs within two months of joining, requiring someone knowledgeable in all of Azure Cloud and all databases, with extensive experience.
A SQL query was solved at the end, with the last 10 minutes dedicated to giving free tips on how to make a person feel low on confidence. The questions were from the last chapter of a database systems book.
The interviewer didn't know anything when cross-questioned or explained.
I was invited for the next round but refused as the interviewer was giving free life advice and tried to make me feel I was not well-experienced. A toxic manager, though!
