CV submitted. Interview requested by HR.

HR and the development manager interviewed me. They asked the usual interview questions, such as:

What is your best attribute?
What is your worst attribute?
Why do you want to work here?

They also asked simple questions about my previous jobs and described what they were looking for. I did not have to take any tests.

At the end, they said they would get back to me, and I assumed others were also being interviewed. The response was positive via email.

Cons: I dislike the internal hiring process, which is just as laborious as hiring external candidates.

Pros: All the people I met were smart, motivated, and focused. I had little interaction with upper management, which means the projects were well managed at the appropriate levels all along.

Cons: Teams can change quickly. As a contractor, you may have to catch up with who's in charge of what.
