The hiring process was a full-day event, starting at 8 am.
I had eight interviews in a row, which included a lunch meeting. During this lunch meeting/interview, I was asked to write code on a paper napkin while eating.
Overall, the interviews were quite intense and technical.

Great culture, flexibility, and a growth mindset

Pros: Everyone I've conversed with has been super friendly.
There's a lot of cool stuff going on, so it's easy to have a growth mindset here.
In these crazy times, my manager's displayed great empathy with the team. Also fairly easy to have good work-life balance.
Cons: Lack of documentation, lack of structured new hire onboarding engineering training, and working with some old tools.

Great Place for Work-Life Balance

Pros: Excellent benefits, low-stress. Great people, managers are typically good at managing teams. Depending on the manager, you can get good recognition if you go out of the way to contribute more than what is expected (and what is expected is actually very basic).
Cons: If you're looking for something exciting and cutting-edge, Microsoft is probably not the place. It's a big company with a defined hierarchy, and it can be hard to feel like you're making an innovative contribution. Management, for the most part, is looking for and expecting code monkeys.
