Software Development Engineer Interview Experience - Atlanta, Georgia
Process
I made contact through campus recruiting and then had a 30-minute on-campus interview.
The interviewer was very rude when I couldn't code the algorithm in time. He simply said, "Time's up. It was nice meeting you. Bye."
Although I was five minutes late to the interview and the interviewer was not happy about that, it was still an unpleasant experience.
I tried talking through my code when I got stuck, but the interviewer mostly just ignored me and typed on his computer.

- 4.0Good company overallSoftware Development Engineer • Current EmployeeRedmond, Washington, United StatesSeptember 23, 2010Pros: Energetic company to work for.Cons: The most strange thing is that people are valued not on what they are needed to do, but rather on what their next level is supposed to do (and measured by it somehow). Essentially, you can do a superb job on your duties, and you will never get rewarded.
