Process

I applied through a university career fair and received a call within two days for a technical interview. The interviewer was very strict about time constraints and directly moved to asking questions.

  1. What has been your most difficult project to date?
  2. Since you have taken networking courses, what is a socket? What is the difference between UDP and TCP? How does TCP ensure reliability? When shall we use UDP over TCP? What is the difference between symmetric and asymmetric key cryptography?
  3. What is a binary tree?
  4. Implement a hash table.

Up to the binary tree question, the interview was awesome. I could not really figure out the hash table question.

Waiting for the results.
