Cons: Some teams are not good, either mediocre IC colleagues or a bad manager, or even both. This becomes not the place you want to work at.

Cons: Microsoft should not hire immensely talented people from IITs/NITs and put them to work on the most monotonous tasks. The growth opportunities for testers are very limited. You need to have a very good rapport with team members and senior managers if you expect raises and promotions in a timely manner. Good work alone will not get you that. My advice is: Are you looking for a place where you want to put your grey matter to work and also expect fairness in terms of career growth? DON'T join as an SDET in MS India.
