It's 2009. The golden days of M$ have passed. Looking at MSFT's stock price, you will know what I meant

Pros: Excellent place if you are a star coder & game player. Microsoft loves super-smart coders. If you can code 12 hours without stopping, Microsoft is still willing to pay big bucks for you.
Cons: If you want promotion, work/life balance is very hard to maintain. Opaque and inhuman review process.

Pros: A solid company that's not going away any time soon.
A decent compensation package (salary, bonus, stock, and benefits).
Ability to find other opportunities within Microsoft that you are interested in.
Ability to completely change your career.
The Pacific Northwest is a great place to live and raise a family.
Great restaurants, hiking, camping, skiing, scuba diving, boating – you name it, it's here.
Plus, we have the best seafood around.
Cons: Stock is stagnant. The Pacific Northwest is cloudy all the time. Ok, not all the time, but most of the time.
