Process

I had an on-campus interview, which consisted of 30 minutes of coding and 30 minutes of behavioral questions.

After that, I had an on-site interview with four Microsoft employees. Each interview lasted 45 minutes and included coding and testing questions, similar to those found in typical interview preparation books.

Overall, the process was very enjoyable, and the interviewers were nice and engaging.

Questions

Be thorough with data structures like trees and strings, and practice recursion extensively. Most questions are similar to programming exercises found in books. With sufficient practice, you will feel confident for all questions.

Testing questions are always unique, such as testing a vending machine. Ensure you cover all test cases.
