Pros: Great team with a really understanding manager.
A lot of autonomy along with constant constructive feedback.
Food was pretty good.
Friendly culture.
Coworkers much older than me (which is both good and bad).
No need to stay late if you consistently get the job done.
Cons: Redmond sucks - it's boring and the weather is bad.
It can be hard to get noticed in such a big company.
Pay is OK, but not great, especially compared to recent Silicon Valley companies.
Middle management is good, but some of the upper-level decisions are questionable.

Pros: As one of the world's largest software companies, you feel that what you are doing there is making a difference. The work is challenging and interesting, and the rest of the staff is made up of very bright people willing to help you.
It also has a very fun and laid-back environment. The free drinks are awesome, though they may make you gain some weight if you abuse them.
Cons: Your success as an intern depends a lot on which product group you're on; some managers are much more demanding than others.

Pros: Interning at Microsoft was a fantastic experience. They have enough events to keep you wildly busy, and the Intern Signature Event this year was Daya and the Chainsmokers. Overall, a very wonderful experience full of learning with lots of great peers and coworkers.
Cons: It's not to say that all interns experience this, but my manager was absent a lot, so I had to struggle on my own.
