Software Development Engineer Interview Experience - Los Angeles, California

Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Three on-campus interviews.

Questions are easy to answer, but I am not familiar with C++ and low-level OS stuff. I am strong in Java. Ask me about bit-level operations, math questions, and design stuff. There is no chance to make it on-site.

Easy problems include:

  • Given a triangle, output how many edges have the same length.
  • Given a string of only 0s and 1s, find the maximum length of continuous 0s and 1s with an equal number, such as 111000 or 00001111.

Questions

I did not expect math problems.

They gave me an expression and asked me to find the lower bound and upper bound as accurately as possible.

Bit-level problems were also difficult for me.
