Process

I received a summer internship offer from Microsoft two days ago. I'm so excited!

I studied very hard for the interviews, so this offer carries special meaning. During my preparation process, reviews on Glassdoor helped me a lot. I'm here to share my experience and hope it'll be helpful to other job and internship seekers.

Round 1 Phone Interview:

  • Properties of good code
  • Tell me about your projects
  • How did you test your projects?
  • How to test a keyboard
  • You come home and realize you forgot your key. How will you try to get in?

Round 2 Onsite Interview:

  • A deck of cards is represented by an array of integers. How do you implement a Shuffle function? Test your function.
  • How to test a phone
  • Tell me something about your favorite technology product. Is there anything on it you'd like to improve?
  • How to test a game
  • Suppose today, you have a bunch of meetings, some projects are due, and a coworker is asking for your help. How would you prioritize?
  • How to divide a chunk of memory two-dimensionally into pieces of memory of different sizes. Come up with the data structure.

The onsite interview was a memorable experience! Seattle is an amazing city.

I hope my review helps! Good luck!
