Process

I passed the on-campus interview and routine interview questions. The programming question was about Breadth-First Search (BFS), implementing a maze. After passing that part, I proceeded to the on-site interview for the final round. They provided me with two nights and three days of hotel accommodation and offered shuttles, which was very convenient. I used them on the interview date.

I had three interviews plus a 20-minute chat with my recruiter.

  • The first interview was with a senior programmer. The question was to implement an algorithm to jump in arrays based on the number in the array until it reaches the end. It starts from the first index. Based on the number, for example, if it's 3, you can jump 2 or 3 steps, and so on, until you pass the last element of the array. The goal was to find the least number of jumps.
  • The second question was to implement the Minesweeper game.
  • The third question involved a topical linked list.

Questions

My second interviewer was a lady whom gave me a super hard time. She didn't even smile or chat, and was the absolute definition of not a nice person!
