Process
The most efficient and professional interview loop I have ever seen.
I was flown in from across the coast on a direct flight and was provided accommodation in a 3-star hotel overnight.
They paid for my cab, lodging, and also paid for a day of sightseeing in Seattle.
All in all, a great experience for the entire day.

- 4.0Supportive Team and Great ColleaguesSoftware Engineer II • Former EmployeeRedmond, Washington, United StatesSeptember 6, 2023Pros: Great team culture. Management is supportive.Cons: Hard to maintain work-life balance.
- 5.0Unique pilot experience at MicrosoftSoftware Engineer II • Current EmployeeAtlanta, Georgia, United StatesNovember 13, 2024Pros: Work/life balance is as you make it. There are periods where it has been a grind, and others where prioritizing life is acceptable and encouraged. It depends on how much you want to gain and accelerate career growth.Cons: Unique experience doing pre-production work (almost research and piloting new technologies). So, while funding was available, career growth is more difficult when the value is not being realized as much as other production teams and products.
- 4.0Flexible But Lots Of ProcessSoftware Engineer II • Current EmployeeRedmond, Washington, United StatesJanuary 22, 2015Pros: Microsoft offers a flexible workplace.Cons: Lots of process to follow.
