Process

The interview process began with a phone call, which led directly to an onsite interview.

During the phone call, the interviewer reviewed my resume and asked a couple of technical questions:

  • Thread vs. process
  • Describe recursion to a 5-year-old

The recruiter seemed inexperienced, so it was unclear how they assessed my candidacy.

The onsite interview involved approximately 40 other candidates, all divided into groups of four. Within each group, four interviewers conducted one-on-one sessions with the candidates. These sessions consisted of three technical interviews and one behavioral interview. All the interviewers were very pleasant.

Beyond technical skills, they were looking for attitude, willingness to learn, how candidates accept criticism, and excitement for programming.

All interviewers reviewed the resume and asked questions based on it. Candidates should also be prepared to discuss OOP principles.
