Pros: I absolutely loved interning at Microsoft! Your team will make sure you have a cool project to work on, and they also treat you like a real member of the team. I learned so much from working with them because they were all so incredibly smart. Also, sooooo many perks: a free Chainsmokers/Daya concert, free Xbox, free swag, and having people high up in my org WANT to get to know me (won't happen if you just start here fresh out of college). I can't recommend this enough. Oh, and Seattle is such a cool place to live for a summer, and MS pays for your housing and relocation.

Cons: Not many I can think of. I think compared to FB/Amazon, it's not as young and fast-paced, but it is still a hub of innovation. And seriously, you can't go wrong with an internship at any of these big tech companies.

Pros: None. Well, you get to work on outdated technology.

Cons: Constant Layoffs No clue what the management is doing.

Pros: Great pay and benefits. If you like working from home, they fully support the work-at-home model.

Cons: As a new hire, I've never felt more lost than I have at Microsoft. I've worked at two other companies, one of them being a Fortune 500 company with a big tech sector. While I had the most experience starting this job, it is by far the hardest to excel in. It's hard to get others to help because everyone's remote, and the environments we work in are so convoluted and hard to understand. I've been here a year and still feel like I started yesterday. Also, there is a new initiative to increase velocity, but they also announced no raises this year. So basically, doing more work for less money. The worst is how much it affected my mental health. I've started seeing a psychiatrist because this job has been so draining and has caused depression. Just today, I was hoping to focus on one area of frontend work, but then I got recruited to do some backend things, which I'm not familiar with, and investigate some logs.
