Pros: Being on a team at Microsoft means more to them than anything else. You can be a terrible coder in an intern position, but if you show grit and give results, then they will see the opportunity for you.
Cons: Microsoft will overwork you if you let them. They give a considerable amount of time off, but some people feel the need to work. Although I did receive guidance on this weakness of mine, it is something to work on before joining Microsoft and during.
