Process

First, I got a phone interview. That was not very technical. After that, I immediately received an on-site interview invitation. I accepted it, and the next week I was in Redmond.

On the interview day, I first met my interview coordinator, who brought me to the first round of 1:1s. I met five people in one day, each interview taking about an hour.

  • Two were from Team A
  • Two were from Team B
  • The last one was a manager who managed both Team A and Team B

The next week, I got an email from the coordinator saying they declined my application. After that, I wrote an email to the manager asking for reconsideration. The next day, I got an email saying the first email they sent me was a mistake. Phew! They gave me an offer, and I happily accepted it.
