Questions

Problem Solving:

  • Find the corresponding number in Pascal's Triangle given the row and column.
  • Given a list with numbers between 1 and n:
    • If there is only one number appearing twice, and all other numbers appear only once, how do you find it?
    • If there are K numbers appearing twice, and all other numbers appear only once, how do you find them?
    • If there is only one number appearing K times, and all other numbers appear only once, how do you find that number?
  • We have a map with some spots. Please find a way to aggregate nearby spots into a number to represent how many spots are in any area of a map when we zoom out, so that users won't only see a lot of dots on a map.

System Design & Architecture:

  • Please design a CI/CD flow or rules to ensure SLA, Scalability, and crash regression.
  • We have an OCR engine implementation. Please design a system to handle the following scenario: We have many users who want to parse their PDF files with that OCR engine, and they can query the status and get their report.

Behavioral Questions:

  • Describe your working experience.
  • How did you decide your career path, and what is your plan for the next 3-5 years?
  • It seems you have not been stable in some jobs (especially for those not exceeding one year). I think you have a good story about this. What was the key reason you decided to leave those jobs?
  • How would you act if you were a new manager for a team that contains many members who have already worked there?
