Pros: - Wonderful, genuinely kind, and smart people.
- Strong leadership, both locally and at the top.
- Really live the values that Satya Nadella brought to Microsoft in terms of growth mindset.
- Good work/life balance.
- Interesting work; you get exposure to cutting-edge technology, and it's exciting and motivating.
- They've been very supportive during COVID, giving us a stipend to set up our remote environment, providing mental health support, and leave time for parents who have kids at home, etc.
Cons: Depending on your role, you do have to deal with the legacy systems of Microsoft customers.
Microsoft is huge, so depending on your role, ramping up can be overwhelming and daunting. However, there's a community to support you in this, so you're not alone.
