If in the right role with the right manager, the interactions with customers and Microsoft leaders are great. Benefits are top-notch and comparable to all of the big tech companies.
Stay away from the Data and AI roles if there is a SQL Server component to the job. You are expected to audit 20% of customers per year minimum through a cloud economics assessment.
There are many terrible managers who have no view of their direct reports other than as a cog in the wheel. Reviews and level of engagement have more to do with personal relationships and favoritism than actual results.
