The company will do EVERYTHING in their power not to give you a raise. In fact, even if you get promoted, you won't get one. They are also intractably woke, and everything seems to be about diversity, inclusion, LGBT, and race issues. If you are a woman (or if you belong to any minority, for that matter), you're definitely in the right place to rise very quickly. The pace is intense, which can be good and bad. There was no HR department in my building (in fact, it seemed that every HR function was concentrated in Singapore). Management is relatively poor (although I was personally happy with all my management tree all the way to Satya), but this is fine, as Microsoft hires extremely smart, hardworking, and self-managed people.
Get real! You're not here to change the world! You're running a business, so treat your employees well and fairly (including on compensation and benefits) without resorting to favoring minorities.
