Great place to work, with amazing co-workers, both technical and commercial.
Regional managers excel at leadership and motivation.
Technical teams are highly skilled and collaborative. The teams are distributed throughout the region, from Mexico to Chile.
LATAM is a small part of Microsoft. Opportunities to grow apart from the same role are limited, especially if you're out of Brazil (just Brazil is half of the region).
Not my case, but some technical managers are too much "sales guy" style, which is pretty uncomfortable when you are a technical person. If you're smart, you can iterate to program management roles to move up and then return back to technical roles at higher levels.
Be open and understand what technical people value most. If you know technical people, you know that many of them used to work very late at night, at lunch, on weekends, etc., just because they like it. Don't schedule forced meetings for early mornings to talk about sales stuff; those meetings are for commercial people.
First, there was a step for cultural fit. This involved an interview explaining what it's like to work at Microsoft and checking my background profile. Then, a meeting was held to discuss the interview process. Finally, there was a one-day assessme
It was a challenging interview. There were many questions, but it's about studying and preparing yourself beforehand. It's a long job process. You must speak in English.
Interview Process: * Interview with HR. * Coding test on Codility, featuring one easy, one medium, and one hard problem (a BFS problem in my case). * Final round consisting of three interviews on the same day: * One with an engineer focu
