Pros

Great medical coverage.

Large, searchable database of code. If you don't know how to use a method, you can look at multiple implementations.

Company store sells MS software at a great (cheap) price.

You work with really smart people.

Cons

You'll need to work as though you were in a startup without the reward. It wasn't always this way; there was a period in which managers didn't want their employees to burn out. That has changed.

Don't stay in one group for long. Those I've seen doing great moved around, gaining new skills and making themselves more valuable.
