  • Bias towards people/friends from Perm (Russia) during layoffs and promotions.
  • Inaccurate planning of tasks, leading to a high surprise factor.
  • Problems, problems, problems every day.
  • Too many layoffs, resulting in a high rate of churn and burnouts.
  • Long-term initiatives and bonuses in the form of stock are worthless.
Advice to Management

Accept the fact that the golden ages are over; rework your pricing model.

Assess every employee equally and fairly, including those Russians who may be your old friends.

Make HR listen, too, and not only speak. Consider them as humans, not as a resource.
