Process
This was a typical software engineering interview process, starting with an initial behavioral phone screen with a recruiter.
Then came a technical screen, which included one straightforward coding question, answerable in any language, using a website similar to CoderPad and with 45 minutes to solve.
My interviewer was rude, which threw me off. I ended up not moving forward in the process.

Pros: 10gen is not too big. As an intern, we had lunch and question sessions with the founders and CEO. They gave us choices for our project and hooked us up with mentors. All of the projects were real work that is important to the company. Everyone is friendly; you can just go up and talk to them. They had intern events like movies, laser tagging, etc., every week.
Cons: Doesn't have the crazy perks like a free cafeteria, haircuts, or buses, etc., that you get at big companies like Facebook or Google.

Cons: The engineering/software side was a bit bureaucratic. There were too many documents and too many people reviewing them. My personal experience wasn't great with the manager, and I wasn't the only one struggling. However, not everybody was struggling.
