Process
My interview process was long, but I think it was due to situations outside the control of the recruiting team:
- Recruiter
- Hiring Manager
- Co-worker
- Technical demo
- Area manager
- Challenge
- Offer Proposal

Great company to grow

Pros: I have been at MongoDB for the past five years, and so far I've enjoyed the ride.
It's a very fast-paced company with a lot of technology. I started when we were around 3k employees, and now we are almost 6.5k. Even with this huge growth in a short period of time, it has not lost its culture.
During this time, I have been promoted and changed roles, which means that MongoDB tries to help you in pursuing your professional career.
Cons: I can't think of any major con. The only challenge I see, if we maintain this rapid growth, will be to keep the high calibre of our people and preserve our culture.

A rewarding place to work

Pros: The document database technology is genuinely good. Management seems to have a decent long-term vision overall. The hiring process is long and painstaking enough to the point that I trust that the people around me are well-qualified. Once hired, there's a lengthy training process to get you up to speed on the company's offerings. After that, there is plenty of continuing training to keep your skills fresh.
Cons: Marketing and market messaging can be a bit "all over the place." There are a lot of products, those products are constantly changing and improving, and so messaging also changes a lot. The sales process can be prescriptive and paperwork-heavy.

Pros: The awareness of NoSQL, demand for cloud, the product, and company talent are all at a great spot.
Company is really well run, transparent, and respectful of employees.
They understand that in order to grow so quickly, retaining talent is a high priority.
Cons: Aggressive growth goals put pressure, but are achievable.
