Pros: Flexible work arrangement, friendly environment, no late hours, understanding management, nice work-life balance. Culturally, the company is pretty well established, and the clashes between legacy Citi and Morgan personnel are not as bad as described.
Cons: It's tough to get promoted, and co-workers are less than stellar. Protected classes feel invincible. Compensation is too aligned to the company's and unit's performance, not necessarily to the individual's performance. Benefits are not the greatest, especially health insurance options.
They make even people who have no access to materially non-public information trade via the Morgan Stanley system, which is expensive and inflexible.
