Process

  1. Online MCQ and coding test
  2. Zoom Interview: Technical Round 1
  3. Zoom Interview: Technical Round 2

The first round was good. The questions were at a moderate level. The second round was quite interesting, and the interviewer was very good. Instead of typical interview questions, he gave me several scenarios that required logical thinking.

The third round was horrible and depressing. Yes, it was. He told me to write one program with certain conditions, like time complexity and all. I did it. He also debugged with me and found no issues.

Then, the second question was to write a cache with some features. He told me something, and when I started to write, he was changing his question and also changing the scenarios. As there was a time limit and he was changing his question, I only ended by writing my approach, which was also correct according to him.

He asked me to share the previous code and the second approach with him over email for some Morgan Stanley HR rule. He also wished me the best of luck for the rest of the day and told me I would be receiving a call from HR soon after the call. But that call never came.

His name was Amogh Revandkar. The reason for informing his name is to reach my comments to him.

Hey dude, first thing, you should not confirm any candidate regarding an HR call if you are not sure about that. Second thing, don't express anything or use any word that would lead a candidate to expect positive feedback when you know the feedback is not positive. Third thing, why were you changing your question continuously after explaining the scenario? It seems like you actually had a pre-mindset to reject the candidate, and that's why you were continuously working on it.

Now, Morgan Stanley, if you are actually not in a hiring mood, then please do not proceed with the candidate for the next round and also try to inform them. Do not waste a candidate's time, and try to respect them.

Questions

  1. Interface-related some tricky questions
  2. Exception and multithreading concepts
  3. WAP with O(n) complexity to build pairs from an array of integers which will sum up to a specific number
  4. Write your own cache in Java
