Pros: They invested a fortune in generic facilities available across departments, including automating service requests.
Cons: There is no way to get help from a human being when you're stuck. You need to be a developer, SA, DBA, HR, and a few other roles to get *anything* done, allocated, or built.
Managers don't enforce their own rules and let junior developers run amok, leading to constant rewriting and refactoring of code that doesn't support requirements.
