Senior Web Engineer Interview Experience - New York, New York
Process
A recruiter from Microsoft called me about an opening and scheduled a telephonic discussion. During an onsite interview, someone from Hong Kong called me for a discussion. I answered all the questions correctly, and most of them were not standard technical questions; they were very basic. It looked like the interviewer didn't have much potential in that skill. After the interview, I received an immediate rejection email. What I understood is that some lazy people don't want candidates with significant technical knowledge because they want to retain their seats at Microsoft and never allow new talent or techies. It was a total waste of my time. It all depends on the interviewer's choice to select or reject, irrespective of your knowledge. If the interviewer is right, hopefully, things will move in the correct direction.
