I had four technical rounds and one HR round.
About a week later, I received a call from HR with an offer. However, they could not meet my expectations and asked if I had flexibility to adjust. I had clearly communicated my expectations before the interviews, so I stated no. After several rounds of negotiation, they not only failed to meet my expectations but also did not offer any increment. They claimed I was already paid fairly, even though I had revealed another offer that paid significantly more than my current salary a few months prior.
I am quite disappointed because I devoted a lot of time to the process. I had also clearly communicated my expectations before any interviews began. It feels like a waste of everyone's time to initiate a process where, in the end, expectations cannot be met.
