The first round was a coding problem-tackling phone interview, which made sense. The interviewer was very helpful and intuitive.
Then came the second round. The questions focused more on knowledge of specific jQuery functions. I personally think this doesn't truly assess software experience and ability, as these are specific details one can easily look up online. Testing should focus on how Software Engineers tackle obstacles, their thought processes, and problem-solving approaches, NOT on specific knowledge.
Do you know ________? Those types of questions were nonsense. Give me a question to tackle, not pure knowledge you can find on Google.
