Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience - New York, New York

Process

I only got to see the first part of the interview process. It was a virtual DIY screening with behavioral and coding sections.

The coding section involved two LeetCode Easy-Medium questions that both used dictionaries. Both the coding and behavioral sections allowed you to try "infinite" sample questions.

While the samples were similar to the actual questions in the behavioral section, the actual questions asked in the coding section were much harder than the samples.

Questions

Jumbled number question where the input is a shuffled string. You are to extract the jumbled numbers/words "one" to "nine".
