Online testing: involves a logical reasoning test where you have to find the missing pattern, and also a judgement test in the style of a messenger application where you respond to certain events/situations. Overall, it is very easy. With the judgement test, try and think about what MS would want you to do in the situation (look at core values etc).

Phone Interview: The phone interview involves a mixture of competency and technical-based questions (how do you keep up to date with technology, what technology interests you). This is followed by an easy algorithm question (sort array etc), then questions about time complexity, and how you would improve.

Assessment Centre: This takes place at MS's London Office. It involves a face-to-face interview with a mixture of competency and technical-based questions. This is followed by a short coding question, based mainly on OOP. Mine was to design a desk booking system for a hot-desking office which put members of the same team next to or near each other.

After the interview was a group exercise, where we had to plan an 'Olympic games' style event. Each person was given a different stakeholder role (e.g., resident, athlete, company, etc.). The key is to present your idea strongly, but also listen to other people's ideas (don't be set on your stakeholder role; it's okay if it's not in the final pitch as long as you have shown you have listened).

In my opinion, it's good to be seen as a leader in this, but remember to involve everyone. Also, lots of people forget to plan/talk about how they are going to present the pitch. Try to be an instigator, saying, "Right, guys, should we just go over how we are going to present our ideas?" and also try to get everyone involved.
