Received an email from HR looking to set up a 30-minute video call with my manager and another developer.
This was a straightforward personality screen, an opportunity for them to describe the role to me and for me to describe my skillset and work experience to them.
A few days after that, HR reached back out and asked me to complete a take-home technical assessment. I completed it and sent it back. Then, two days after that, HR responded to set up a 2.5-hour technical interview with multiple people from the Motorola team.
This meeting was scheduled about two weeks out to find availability for all members of the interview. About five days after scheduling this interview, I got a notification from Google that the video call had been cancelled by the HR person that I was communicating with.
I reached back out to ask about the meeting cancellation and was completely ghosted. I have still never heard back from Motorola about why the meeting was cancelled or the results from my technical assessment.
I am very disappointed in how a big company like Motorola handled this situation and will never apply for a position in this company again.
A take-home technical assessment that involved creating objects and keeping track of them in a multi-threaded environment.
