When I started in 1995, I never imagined I would still be working at Motorola.
I have to say there are so many good things about this company that I would not be able to write them all. I have been given many wonderful opportunities since I have been here. The people I have worked with and crossed paths with have been truly remarkable.
The work I do on a day to day impacts my customers and the public at large, and I play a direct role in that. I can't speak highly enough about the family first mentality and work life balance aspect of this company.
I am blessed to have been employed this many years and am looking forward to many more.
Over time, the company has chisled away many benefits and used the market average as the explanation.
Back when I started, MSI was the pioneer in our industry and not following the herd. I get that we have to be profitable, but some of the small transgressions against the employees do not go unnoticed.
For example, the unlimited PTO policy is not in our employees' best interest but rather the company's and the bottom line.
I am also very annoyed at the DEI practices that were implemented based on fraudulent data (there is only one study that is used to justify these actions, and it's not clear and concise information that supports these claims). Thank god they are being slowly rescinded.
Value your long-term experienced staff. Typically, they were the ones targeted during reductions of any kind. These employees have a great deal of experience that is valuable to the continuity of the company and programs.
Easy application process from start to finish. The interview is split into three different sections: the phone interview followed by two in-person interviews. After that, an offer is extended. The answer for the first two interview sections could be
The interview process was good and thorough enough for me to relay my skills and personality. I had two interviews. The first one was a general interview about me that lasted about 30 minutes. The second interview was a more technical interview, done
Great experience. The interview was average, not too difficult. They patiently listened to me and helped me when I didn't know the answer. As it was my first interview, I learned a lot from them.
