It's a pretty comfortable environment. The engineering organization is full of good, smart people, who generally want to do the right thing. Senior leadership is pretty good.
It's become a fairly mature company, with some legacy baggage. A lot of people have gotten comfortable and are content to run on autopilot, not doing the best work they are capable of. Communication between groups could be better (though, really, it is probably better or on par with most organizations of its size).
Invest more in engineering tools and processes.
Connect engineering and marketing better. Most engineers don't know very well how what they're working on is used by customers, except what percolates down through several levels of management.
