I applied for a position using their online job portal and was contacted by the recruiter. This was followed by a technical phone screen, which was not a blocker. I was then asked to come in for an onsite interview. The onsite interviews consisted of four technical rounds and one HR round. The technical rounds focused on language skills.

It seemed they were more focused on remembering APIs rather than understanding the basics of the language. Some of the technical rounds were focused on design-related questions. During these rounds, the interviewer seemed satisfied with my thoughts. However, the next day, I received a call stating I did not "match the exact fit." It felt as though the interviewers were not looking at my thought process but rather wanted me to remember language APIs.
